Microchip Technology Inc. CEO Steve Sanghi on Friday put the Arizona-based company’s stamp on a Colorado Springs manufacturing plant it acquired, unveiling a sign that replaced Atmel Corp’s name with Microchip. Sanghi has built Microchip by changing a lot of signs – acquiring 17 companies in the past seven years – amd more than tripling Microchip’s revenue and operating income and earning a profit every quarter during the more than 25 years he has been the company’s president.
